Fisher Group wins Chrysalis Award (PDF Version)

ANNANDALE, Virginia — Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, 104 remodeling companies from across the United States were honored at the 8th annual Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence on June 1. The awards, sponsored by Professional Remodeler magazine, were presented at the Southern Building Show in Charlotte, N.C. 

This year, Ken and Peggy Fisher of Fisher Group LLC of Annandale took home the top award as Category Winner for Whole House Remodel $250,000-$500,000. This is the fifth year the firm has won a Chrysalis
Award. 

“The purpose of the awards is to identify remodeling companies who are the best at what they do,” said Ken Kaline, director of the awards. “The Fishers have been dominant in the kitchen categories for years, but this year they produced one of the finest whole house remodels that the judges have ever seen. The judges were particularly pleased with the way the Craftsman style of this project was carried throughout the house.” 

Kanline added, “The judges said this was by far the best entry in any category. It was extremely well done.” 

Judged by the staff of Southern Living magazine, Sunset magazine and Homestyles.com, the winners were selected from more than 600 entries covering all types of remodeling projects. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure. 

The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1994, recognizes the nation’s best remodeling work in more than 30 categories. Photos of the 2001 award-winning projects can be seen at www.chrysalisawards.com after July 1.
