This
bathroom had a very tight deadline. The owners wanted a bathroom
that looked like a cross between a W hotel and a Craftsman
inspired space, clean simple, and with no natural light in it,
light finishes. The palette was to be white with maple, cobalt
accents placed in random configurations – ribbed glass tiles,
mosaic glass tiles in various arrangements.
Re-orientation of the
toilet was accomplished by rotating the toilet on an existing
stack, allowing for a larger tub. A large asymmetrical tub with a
wide curved shape was used to take advantage of the long floor
space. A durable granite countertop was installed with an angled
end to correspond with the angle of the toilet and tub. Angled
open shelves were recessed into the wall to achieve increased
depth. The Pendant Murano glass light fixtures adds a touch of
art, whimsy, additional lighting brightens space.
