The Breakfast area was planned for adequate clearance for traffic flow and connects to both the Kitchen and the Family Room. A ceiling fan augments the downdraft’s heat and odor removal.  Recessed lights and decorative fixtures are designed for flexible ambient lighting.  Lit display shelves under cabinets highlight tea cup collections.  Xenon under cabinet task lighting and low voltage recessed accent lighting complete the space. Stainless steel appliances and oil rubbed bronze hardware mingle harmoniously.  Subtle, deep red paint sets off the creamy cabinets and echoes the reddish undertones of the wooden finishes.  A simple custom base, door and window trim was designed for the entire space, painted in a white coordinating with the cabinet color. Kitchen, Breakfast Area, Butler’s Pantry are unified with laminated cork, stained light, providing durable, resilient flooring that continues down service hall.
