New updated mantel, gas log fireplace insert in expanded Family Room provides cheer with ease. The floors and the pine paneling in the
T.V./fireplace area of the family were stained to coordinate with the stained cabinets. The homeowners had an existing pair of bookcases
that were reconfigured to the new space, with an additional new custom cabinet design to coordinate as closely as possible functioning as an entertainment unit. End of hearth was exposed when exterior wall was removed, so
new brick was toothed in to finish it. Recessed lighting is used to provide the space with ambient and task lighting. Accent low voltage recessed lights are used over the fireplace and at the bookcases. Because of the skylight
location required by the new roof lines, a low voltage track light provides night lighting from the skylight well.
